Deploying printer connection ‘\\server Name\Printers’ to per machine GPO ‘GPO name’ failed. The specified directory service attribute or value does not exist.

If you are getting this error when you are trying to deploy a printer with Printer Management in Windows 2003

Deploying printer connection ‘\\server Name\Printers’ to per machine GPO ‘GPO name’ failed. The specified directory service attribute or value does not exist.

The reason is because your current scheme isn’t Windows 2003.  You will need to use ‘adprep’ to upgrade your scheme and raise the level.
